Rolex Air-King stainless steel oyster perpetual Precision c. 2002
The Rolex Air-King’s history begins in 1945. At the end of World War II Hans Wilsdorf decided to honour the pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain with a line called “Air” models. The Air-King is the only one of these particular models still in production. They were loved by pilots for their simple dial - larger than usual at the time making it easier to quickly read the time, and, of course, their excellent timekeeping.
The Air-King embodies the heritage of Rolex: simplicity, elegance, and precision.
This piece is immaculate and its charm truly lies is in its refined simplicity. A sharp watch in mint condition.
